Good day all; I have been lurking around this site for some time now and have been jealous of all the great finds. I have been detecting for around eight months and found only clad and some odds and ends junk. All I wanted to find was sliver in any form, a 1964 Rosie would be great at this point, but until today no luck. Today I may have found the find of a life time and I wanted to see what everyone thinks about it. I was searching in a new area recommended by my hunting buddy, a public park which I have been to many times but in a different area. I was just walking at a fast pace toward a raised area I thought would yield the best finds and I got a solid 23(penny) on my coinstrike. I dug to 5", I ran the coil over the area again and the reading was now a solid 32 (dime) still in the hole. I dug a little bit more and saw something silver. I picked it up and What I thought had to be a token or something else turned out to be a 1841 HALF DIME. I am still in shock and will be posting pictures tomorrow when I can, to show off a little. I know it's not the best find on the forum but I sure am proud of it.
