Have not been hunting of late because the engine in my 1986 went and died. I bought a new to me pathfinder yesterday and this morning I made it to the park to detect.
I think somebody else has been hunting the playground and am glad that they took most of the trash.
My first find was a small bracelet broken at the end of the name back. It might have had a name but I cannot read it. It is marked Italy and 14 k on the ends.
As for coins there i found 1 nickel. and a few bobby pins.
I went to a second park and found a few quarters and a few pennies and called it a day for now.
So I have finally found my first gold item which was a solid 45. on the gold bug pro.

Ya thats a low number , but i have a 14k mens ring in white gold that rings in at 31 good thing you are digging those low numbers,

Way to go Jim.
I find allot of bracelets and it seems they hit low on the vdi. My first one when I got it I was still testing my GB against my old eagle spectrum. The bug hit solid but with low vdi on a 11 gram 14 k bracelet and the eagle was calling it iron and barely scratching it. Sold the eagle right after that. Never looked back and still do not regret not upgrading to any thing on the market currently. Good rumors that a new machine might be in the works at fisher though. FINGERS CROSSED.
Glad you finally got some pay dirt Jim you've been working for it.
