Hi Guys,

After countless hours of mindless detector swinging, I finally found my first seated quarter. She's not pretty but she looked really good to me. It was also nice to see a few older Indians come out of the dirt including a '64 (no L), a '66, a '72, and a '79. I also dug a quarter size whatsit that was buried quite deep ... possibly a cuff or collar link of some sort. It shows a large fellow (maybe a warrior) pointing a sword at the posterior of another guy wearing a headdress or crown. There is an image of a scarab at the bottom (a symbol of re-birth or resurrection). I'm guessing that it may be masonic but I can't find any info on image.

Thanks for looking!

Nice seated !! Congrats !!

That's still on my list, congrats! Image on that button looks like it hurts for sure.

I don't even want to know what the two guys are doing on that one find of yours. Hey, the 1872 is a semi-key date and worth some bucks. WTG

Nice find with the seated! I don't think the thing the guy is holding is a sword though.

I had similar impressions but since this is a family oriented website ... I limited the scope of my analysis of the image.

That's a really nice seated and some old Indian Heads. Way to go. I think the whatsit is an old pictorial, possibly late 1800s, of a guy getting an enema. Do some looking on Google and maybe it will turn up. Cool finds!
