I got out yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours at a empty lot that the local school owns. There used to be a house on it, but it was burnt down about 20 years ago. I've been hunting this with the six inch coil for about a month on weekends, found lots of clad, a 54 wheatie, and a 1887 indian head. I just knew there had to be at least 1 silver coin there, surely... with only a couple more passes left to finish up covering the lot I got a broken 12-45/46 signal that showed around 6" deep, I was figuring a quarter on edge maybe, as I'd found several clad quarters that read that way. Ended up it was a 43 merc! The pep club charm was around 5" deep, I think I know who it belongs to, as there was only 1 Carolyn in the class of 73, which was a year ahead of me in school.
