Well it has been a long while... a very long while since i've found any gold. In fact, on my last 3 outings, all i could come up were silver items, but noting of the yellow color. I started to have the shake!!!!
This morning luke and I headded east to try our luck at some old camping grounds. First stop was a municipal beach that had problems with the blue algea... not too attractive, but since we had our gears protecting us, we went anyway. I was scared of splashing myself in the face with water... maybe it was a bit psychological.
Anyway, the place didn't yielded any jewels, but i did found a few coins. About 7 bucks. So let's get a lunch and try somewhere else. So we ate and drove around for a camping ground i visited two years ago. Water was clear but cold. Once again, i got several coins, but didn't got any gold...grrr
And the worse is that Luke got one gold ring and a second one later...at least it looks like gold. Will I be coming home empty handed again??? Not 4 hunts in a row !
Next stop was a small camping. We barely got a few pennies and that was it! Time was running out. We tryed getting in a third camping but the owner refused us.. a very greedy guy.
So we went on the highway back home. I was depressed and didn't wanted to get home like this. So i took an exit and decided to re-re-re-visit a camping that has always been good for me. Luke wasn't too exited because he never had mutch luck there.
We got there and started to hunt. A few signals here and there, but we pounded the place so bad before, we weren't expecting mutch. I was walking straigh and saw something on the ground... so i turned and went for it... ahh just a piece of rope. Was about to turn around and got a bnroken signal. It really sounded like a small nail but signals were so scarce, i was digging everything. I immediatly saw the yellow color i like so mutch and out came that wonderfull 14K bracelet! Not a monster, 7,3 grams, but hey that really made my day!
We continued hunting for a long while, got some more signals, but that was it for gold today. I even had a nice Nitro... real Nitro that is. The red bottle is a nitro spray. Half full. Funny find ! Hope the owner didn't had a bad day after that! Later i found a 5$ bill.
Well that's it for today. With the 5.00$ note, my total is just under 40.00$, 3 silver jewels and a 1943 quarter, plus of course the gold bracelet... and a nice pair of sunglasses, not scratched.
Isn't this hobby the greatest of all ?
