Finally some nice weather in NC!

Went out today as the weather was dry and above freezing. I located some ball fields on an aerial photo. So gave that a try. Turned out they must ahve been very little league as the bases were close together. Found a penny and what may be a smashed aluminium ring. Decided to go to a rural soccer field where I have not found much of anything and again didn't find much of anything--another penny!. So decided to try a church camp ground I have hunted before. Found some clad, and after about an hour found 6 cents on the volleyball court. Started back and got a good beep with the Vaq. Sounded like a quarter, but when I dug it up, it was a nice silver ring weighing 10 g with Israel on the inside along with 925. Not finding any old coins or silver coins, but that topped off the day. By the way, for the last 1/2 hour I was using high disc. one notch to the right of TAB because I was tired of digging pull tabs!

Anything round with a hole in it that makes a Vaquero scream dig me. That's one nice silver ring you got there.

I'm glad that you got some decent weather for detecting.:detecting:

Awsome find andy , that was worth it .

thanks. I had found nothing very interesting in over a half year and now found 2 silver rings in 3 weeks. Maybe my luck has changed! How's the snow up there?
