FINALLY Silver coins in the Philippines

I went to a church located in Cebu, Philippines to see if I can find any older coins. There is a grassy section near a convent by the church where I got permission to search. When I turned on the detector and made my first swing thought something was wrong; it was making a beep to 3 every swing. I settled on a signal and found a 25 Centavo coin. I kept digging up shallow coins left and right. I got a nice twang and was hoping for some silver and the SE said was about 5 inches; which was deeper than the other signals. Out came a 1917 silver 10 Centavos  It is slightly smaller than a dime.

It was like the pennies I found the other day, USA on one side and Filipinas on the other. A few feet away I dug up the 1919 coin. I also found 2 of the copper pennies; 1944 and a 194?. Still cleaning them.

I hope to now add a Peso silver soon!!

I believe this is the case as some of them have a s mint mark for San Fransisco.

Nice find ! They were most definitely minted in the US. The US Mint has made a lot of coins for other countries. Way to go and HH!
