Finally pulled the trigger on the MXT PRO !!

....and about time too...

I have been "umming" and "ahhing" for a while now and finally came to the conclusion that I really won't do better for a coin, relic and ring machine from White's or any other manufacturer for that matter.

It will be setup with the trusty 5.3 Eclipse coil as I want a smallish coil with good depth/separation as well as reliable discrimination in trashy areas. I'll reserve the 950 coil for more open and less trashy areas. You can tell I really prefer concentric coils for my conditions. The soils are quite tame so heavy mineralisation isn't a problem. Don't want or need any DD coil.

I had an M6 some years ago and for some stupid reason I sold it.....:stars:

The MXT PRO is now on it's 10,000 mile journey to the deep south.

Now you all might be thinking why I'm not using the Minelab machines for my purposes and the answer is easy.......I want the best.....:bouncy:

Keep you posted on the finds,
Tony. :ausflag:

Hi Tony, Mate you've done the right thing, I have the MXT and it's great. I agree with you when you said you want the best, I've tried them all and have come to the conclusion Whites are the best. I recently sold a Garrett and purchased a Whites Coinmaster GT to replace it, no regrets at all, it's a nice unit, well made, nicely balanced and works well. If you can try and get a copy of "The MXT Edge" by Jeff Foster, a really informative book, I purchased mine from the US - http://www.fielddepth.com , hope you have fun with your new machine.

Cheers,
Kevin:ausflag:

MXT is a great machine and so is the M6....i've had both.I believe the M6 to be one of the best machines on the market today due to it's simplicity combined with great performance, not to mention whites top class build quality. My partnership with the MXT was short and sweet.....combined with the 8x6 sef coil it was a killer on the ancient sites over here in England. However I have been lucky enough to be able to move to the coast recently so I wanted a machine that would be better on the wet salt sand and I had to sell the MXT to be able to afford it.When funds allow I will get another MXT or M6 due to the fact they are still capable of competing with the latest technology and are more sensibly priced.Good luck with yours...it will serve you well.
