Finally out of Hibernation......

Well after a busy winter that kept me from detecting, I was finally able to hit the beach last week for low tide. It was windy, the surf was up and the water cold... I think it was a good start for me. $1.90 in clad, two toe rings, a junk pendant and one earring. Thought both toe rings were junk, but the one cleaned up to .925. The big question was the earring.... No markings, but it came out of the water looking fine. Spent the week waiting for my gold tester and duo tester to arrive for the answer. First to check the stones.... Alas, they are not ice... On to the earring itself... Certainly looked like gold, and not just 14k. On to the gold tester..... Tested 18k+. Figured it must be G.F., so I hit it w/ a file, and retested 18k+. Looks good to me. No Ice, but I will take 18k any day. Maybe tommorow will bring more gold. :)
HH All,
Keith
