I finally ordered my new Vaquero. I appreciate all the feedback in here on helping me pick one out. Now the wait begins.

You're going to be so happy in a few days.:jump:

Spend as much time as you can with it in the field. Set it to get rid of tabs and below and go find coins.

Did you get headphones as well?

Gary

Gary asks if you purchased headphones? IMHO phones are the most important addition below the detector itself. As mentioned above, put in as many hours as you can, getting to know your machine. Also, IMHO and personal experience, if you coin shoot in parks, fair grounds etc. resist the bigger has to be better notion and when you are thinking another coil, go smaller rather than larger. Much more useful for most coin shooting locations due to handling trashy areas better. Get out and have fun, you've picked a dandy detector.

I haven't ordered headphones yet. Probably doing some hunting for coins and a little relics too I hope.

Joe,

You have bought a very good detector and live in a great area to find true treasure, Charleston is famous for high dollar slave tags. If you find a square piece of bronze, don't throw it out with your trash.

Congrats on the Vaquero. I don't think you will regret it. I love mine. You will need a good set of ear phones. I use Garett with a volume control for each ear. While I am sure you could find better and more expensive they work for me, and they seem to be holding up.

Thanks for the feedback. This forum has been great for helping answer a lot of questions and helping to pick out a detector.

Congradulations!!! you will not be disappointed in that little machine.
Looking forward to seeing your Vaquero finds soon!!
Good luck and happy hunting!!

Yep, without my Garrett ProPointer, I'd work harder and recover a lot less targets on a typical hunt. It's as important to me as the detector.

That's a great price on the combo shipped.
