First of all,, let me tell you how my crazy day started... i just ordered the Excal 2 and it came today,,, so i got up waiting for the Ups man impatiently all day.. I didn't plan on even hunting the soil tonight,, BUT I also wasn't smart Enough to realize the battery would be dead lol So when it arrived i was like a little boy on Christmas morning... Then completely bummed when the battery was so dead,, all it did was turn on... My buddy Tim made the remark going to this park that i never even thought about in my town to hunt, and look for rings... So after not being able to use the Excal i was like what the heck... my friend said he pulled a Indian out of it last year, plus a good oh wheatie.. My friend also uses the a whites so i knew there was still old coins in the area just playing Tim.... and if there was one Indian there was most likely more.. plus hopefully silver.. I wasn't real big on the idea for locking for gold rings in the park, cause all i find is foil and pull tabs... so as soon as i get out of the jeep... i put had the new Pro coil on the Explorer SE.. In ten minutes i found a 1892 Indian... close to about 7 inches deep.. then a lil later i found two wheaties stacked on each other "1942, 1936" walked down about 20 more feet,, bam another Indian "1881". Walked down a little more and pulled two more wheat's "1940,1945".. i searched around a little more and my girlfriend wouldn't stop calling my phone ,, "ever have that problem??? and if so how do you fix it?" lol well i guess if she reads these it will be fixed lol anyways... i got feed up and left.. I got some food and started thinking about the park some more.. and realized i was an idiot for leaving because i hardly searched the think and i found 2 Indians and 4 wheat's,, plus Tim was still there searching... so i got pack in the jeep and drove the 7 minute drive to the park... i get out of the jeep and Tim shows me his 10 nickels 2 quarters and pennies... i was like cool man whatever lol so i turn the detector on and bam get a target... i pulled it out of the ground and it was a coin about the size of a quarter.. with something naughty on the front lol The place had tons of trash in the ground.. so i had to work it veryyyyyy slowly,,, which is key to the Explorers success.. after about 10 minutes of finding zinc and bottle caps,,, i swung the coil of next to a small tree,, and it started screaming at me... i got a very high high pitched tone... i figured it was a silver dime of something... so i open my huge whole as normal and stuck my sun-ray probe in the ground.. out popped a 1945 D Wheaties... i was huh???? that was a really high pitch for Mr Lincoln... so i covered the whole back up... stood up,, and swung the coil back over... it still screamed dig me you idiot lol so i hit the pin point and this time it pinpointed about 2 inches in front of my other whole... so i opened the whole and pointed the probe in... i got that high pitch that every one likes to hear with the probe when you have a deep possible coin... so i dug down about 7 inches... and there it was... actually i didn't know what the heck it was at first... it had dirt all over it,,, i just knew it was bigger than a dime,,, and silver lol i grabbed it with my heart beating and ran over to Tim... Usual Tim ohhhh you got you a Barber what you did... 1892 what it is " No remarks on Tim's grammar,,, it's what makes up love him" lol He was so jealous.... after that i pulled one more wheat... 1944 D.. it started to get dark and the CREEPERS started to come out so i called it a night lol The coin is not in the best condition,, but it;s my first silver quarter and my first Barber anything.. Thanks for looking and thanks for reading my ridiculous long message... but I'm still stoked lol Thanks
