Finally made it back to the beach today.

It's been awhile since I was able to get to Clearwater Beach. But , today I made the two hour drive. Beach seemed pretty sanded in. And the low tide was the lowest I've ever seen it. Eight hours at the beach , with at least six of them spent in the water. I'm beat ! Nothing fantastic , but I decided to share anyway. All jewelry was junk. The shell anklet is in good shape , and I'm sure it'll be claimed by one of the kids. The gold looking thing is some type of hair clip. Pretty sure it's junk metal. Scooped a few cool shells to add to my rock beds at the house. Not a single ring. And more earrings than I've ever found in one trip. One shot of the " goods " , and one of the trash. Thanks for looking. You must be bored ! :)

Thats a long tough hunt! I dont know how you guys do it for 8hrs! Nice work! The air temp here this am was 51, North wind, and the water was maybe 55...I got hypothermic in just a few hours..had to drive home with the heater going full blast, arms are still tingly...all that for 4p's and 2d's...:sadwalk:

I dont care where you are, beach hunting/wading is really tough work!...probably the hardest type of detecting there is, I dread it every year, but cant seem to stop!...every once in a while a guy is at the right place at the right time, with the right gear, and the right mind, and then buddy! All of a sudden, its FUN again!:beers:
Mud.

FKP.......persistence always pays off! Keep swinging and you'll get the gold soon enough!:clapping:

We're addicted Mud! The time between hunts is spent thinking about the next spot, where all the people are hanging out, where an old building once stood, or a picnic area, or old swimming hole, etc.
My sand bar is still producing but I've been watching some Aquachigger videos and am getting the stream bed itch. No civil war artifacts around here but tons of old dam and mill sites. I'd like to hear from others more about stream detecting and the tools they use for moving rocks.

Yeah, we are all due! :beers:...Those youtube vids keep a guy motivated...and of course this Forum...I'm pretty sure you are going to hit some big gold this year Tog...you are getting to know that sandbar pretty well..FKP will too...just a matter of coil time after a while, and getting lucky on the tides and currents, and by luck I mean being out there hard...it always pays off in the end, but its the between times that are a B to get through sometimes....like marriage, its definitely not a sport for the easily discouraged..

Oh , I was out there hard. Just take a look at my poor Hobbit foot. I like my $20.00 Wally World water shoes. But , they rubbed the crap outta my foot the other day ! I did have dive boots , but they fell apart. Maybe I'll try winning the fashion show next time and wear some ankle socks with my water shoes. I think I might have gotten some shells in the shoe that were rubbing. I'll survive.

Dang, you did take a mild beating. My feet look bad too. I have some crocs I wear and the have those holes in them. So now I have white feet with little tan circles scattered around on them.

Dang! Thats awful! You know I generally hunt barefoot, and have not got cut yet...When I'm in the water, a guy moves pretty slow and can feel the glass...its up on the dry when I'm flying along that may get me someday. It is scary when all sorts of glass comes up in the scoop when digging for a target...and where the glass is, thats usually good hunting.
