Finally Jewelry - GTI 2500

Woohoo, I hit my first ring this evening at a local park. I was in coin mode and was pulling out lots of pennies when I got another penny tone. I wasn't going to dig but my wife said just dig it. So i continue and bang pulled this bad boy out of the ground. It is sterling silver so I'm hoping my next one is gold. I was running sensitivity at 10.5 in coin mode. As mentioned it rang up under the .01 on my GTI 2500.

Good job there jlopez! More to come I'm sure!

Nice find my friend but if you are looking for gold rings you have to run in the jewelry mode where many of the blocks are not notched out that will get you that gold ring as only a small portion of gold rings come in as coins...

Thanks for the info Dan. I usually start out in jewelry mode and then slowly start to notch out trash signals. I'm gonna have to learn to be more patient. But now that I've found my first ring, I feel motivated all over again.

It was night time and all i had was the park light, at first I thought it was another pulltab but it felt thicker than normal. Then it came in to focus and boy was I happy. Just a cool feeling. I wish you could magically insert your findings into some sort of history machine and see exactly how that item arrived at its location. For now, I'll just have to imagine. I did find about 6 pulltabs in very close proximity. My guess is that this person was drinking and maybe watching a softball game and lost it.

Rings are always nice no matter what there made from.
Congrats on a nice find.
Now your wife need a detector for the big find challenge

Happy Hunting

Bruce

I have an AT Pro on order for "her"....hehe. My daughter is also wanting to detect and I found an ACE 250 for $140. I haven't got it yet but I'm seriously considering. Would be cool for us all to be out there and would greatly increase our odds. Charles Garrett is gonna owe me at least an upgrade or a steak dinner after all these purchases.
