First hunt of the year had to get out!!! Hit a couple field sites I hunted in the fall. Ground was froze down 4-5 inches I chiseled out every target! I was choosy on what signals I dug. First coin of the year was 1829 large cent , got a toasted Indian , glass button and an arrow head. I was a muddy mess but it was worth it!

The large cent is on my list. I am going to find one this year so help me. It supposed to be near 60 tommorow in Illinois..I am going out somewhere!!!:super:

So what did the arrowhead ring up? :lmfao: just kidding. Nice finds.

Awesome finds! I bet you were glad to get out and hunt! Nice Large Cent and that's a nice point you found. Sure hope the thaw comes soon for you guys up north.

its all about location and research, I didn't find any large coppers till I researched the oldest spots in my area and started hunting the field sites where houses used to be in the 1800s

Geez Goes4ever, save some of them there oldies for us!

Nice 1st detecting session of the year finds there!

Was thinkin about brushing off the cobwebs of my detection gear, but they're predicting 'yet' another 7 inches of that white sh_t tomorrow.

That LC really did clean up well!! You soak it in olive oil? And again..the camera you use is fantastic. I may have asked you once before but I forgot what you use...cell phone? Congrats on your recoveries. Love it.
