Again thanks to Mike and Greg along with their families. It was great. You gave us an oppurtunity to find some old coins. Mike and Pete proved iot could be done. A really gorgeous park and surrounding area. They opened their homes to peolpe they hardly knew. They provided food for us and procured prizes. I really like the Garrett bag and the books that I got as door prizes. Pete gave me a sew on Garrett patch. I got to talk to Henry and Chris more than others. We have a lot in common. Didn't get to talk to Joe that much but he caught my jokes. We teased Mike and Greg about the lack of finds and I think they started to believe we were serious. I don't have to have the finest, bestest, deepest or oldest. Good fellowship is higher in my book and we did get that. My wife Mary didn't want to come and not know any of the womem. I told her thewre were wives coming and they probably wouldn't know many there either. She met up with Vicky and found out that they had a lot in common and it was pal around for the afternoon. That's not to say she didn't enjoy any of the other womems company either. Friends will stay in our minds of the hunt far longer than the finds or the lack there of.

Hope everyone gets to read their books and tell me what I forgot :lol

Sherry and Casey needed to spend some time together or they would have been there with Mary, Vicky and Chris. Casey had some Mother's Day plans that fell through so this time together for them helped to make up for the plans Casey had originally made and had to abandon.

I would have liked to have had a closer look at others detectors for comparison. It was great that Mike let JoeG and I to scan over a few of his spots before digging so we could try to figure out what he was hearing using our machines.

Would have also liked to sit and chew the fat with others more but was otherwise busy doing other things. Will have to go back sometime to check out the local area. The marina and the boats would have made some good pics but was concentrating on detecting pics and not much more. Hve to admit it was one of the best times I have had in a long long time and that was because of (1) our love for the Lord and (2) our love for each other - with maybe sharing our detecting hobby as an added bonus.
Looking forward to the next hunt and meeting you guys and ladies again and hopefully more of our brothers and sisters in the Lord will be able to make it as well.
