Finally got to use my new 8x6 SEF

Well I ordered it June 7th and it got here on Monday I think. Anyways, I put it on the Etrac and headed to an area I've avoided due to the trash. It's a picnic area at the park. I hit the area about 3 years ago with my BH Tracker IV and got 2 silver Rosie's. tried my Ace 250 the following year and didn't get squat. Then hit it with the DFX early this year (with an 8x6 coil as well). That combo got me 1 wheat and some clad. I hit it yesterday with the Etrac and 8x6 and got 6 wheats and some clad. No silver yet but I'm sure there's more there. I'm shocked how much I was able to snag with the SEF. Very impressive. And I kind of just wandered around. Didn't grid at all. I have some areas I want to try TTF with the SEF next.

That's a great little coil. I keep mine on most of the time....unless I'm working a really large area then I switch to the 10X12.

I'm new to the Etrac and already fell in love with it! I picked up a used 8x6 sef and waiting for it to arrive. :minelab:

I really like my 6x8. It is on anytime the area is trashy. You don't lose much, if any depth over the pro coil either.

I was amazed that I didn't lose that much depth as well whenever I put my 6x8 on.
