Finally got the Sovereign over some silver..

I have been pounding an old school for the past few weeks on and off and have found some wheat pennies which is a good sign of silver and recently got a war nickel and a buffalo nickel and off course a lot of clad coins.
I went for a short hunt this evening for a couple hours and was searching an area where I found a couple of silver coins about a year or so ago.
I was swinging slowly and out of nowhere I got that nice smooth feathery signal I call it and I just knew some silver was under the coil.. after pinpointing and digging carefully, some silver came to light finally.
That Sovereign sure makes a sweet sound over silver.. this ground is good and not much trash in this area, so that signal really came through good.
Thanks for looking.. sure would like to see more posts of some Sovereign finds.. seems like most have moved on to the Equinox, but I think I'll stick with the Sovereign.

The silver drought has come to an end and I am glad you were able to find some  There is still a special place in my heart for the Sovereign. Who the heck knows...I may even pick up another one

Got to love seeing silver come out of the dirt. Every year my silver coin finds have tapered off until I have not found a single silver coin yet this year. I do have a permission that I am hoping will produce one or two. But I cant search it until the latter part of November when I am going to be in the area.

That's what I like best about the Sovereigns. It's the sweet, smooth tones it is makes when it finds gold and silver.
