...I posted about a couple of weeks ago. I think it is about 150 acres and the farm house was built in the forties.

Now...if I can just find the time!!

find us lots of gold and silver and some oldies for us to look at .....cant wait to see pics of all the stuff you will find...good luck

Thanks! I hope to find some Cival War stuff too. The plan is to try and go Sunday if possible and I'll be sure to post any finds. Got the detector out today to warm it up and it's been so long since I've used it I had to get familiar with the settings again.

Hi Doug and congrats on getting the green light to go on :detecting: the farm and around the old house! I hope you are able to get to it very soon, as I've found that if I wait too long then things change and the opportunity is lost! Hope you detect the place and find lots of goodies besides old farm junk like iron and etc. There has to be some silver and wheaties there if it goes back to the 40's!

I pray you and yours stay well and Brian gets well quickly from breaking his femur.....sure pray the pain is ending and he is healing.

God Bless!
Betty

That 149 acres of it is not worth detecting. Try the main areas around the house. front yard first, then the side where the drive is. Under clothes lines, around big trees, along the drive, and the other side yard, then the back! :) Looking forward to the report! How is Brian doing with the latest break?

Thanks for the advice Mike. I figured to start around the house but completely forgot about looking for a clothesline. I'm hoping to find an older house site on the property as well.

Brian is doing much better. He has had a cousin stay the last couple of days and it has been good for him to have someone to play Legos and video games with. He is still in some pain but that should subside in a few more days. Cabin fever is setting in but the last couple of days we've had rain and haven't gotten him out of the house.

Thanks for asking brother!!!

I know you guys will have a blast at the forum hunt, praying for good weather for you.

if you find another old house site on the property then that would be good!
Let us know what you find! :)
Tell Brian Mike is praying for him!
