Finally got the hang of it.......

I found some decent ground where I could work with the ground balance.
I finally got it......now to practice getting quick at it.

I had not intended on staying out today but since I actually picked up on some targets I started digging
them. Picked up some clad. Set the discrimination one mark before .5cent and hit three nickels. One was a 1957.
Also picked up a couple junk rings and a cross.

Good going Katz. Are you sure that little ruby??? ring on the left hand side is junk? You better check that out closer. Nice going on the nickels. Love to see them and what a great year!!! Nice going. Check that ring and let me know! HH , Nancy

Just kidding! Good to see you guys.

As for the ground balance Katzy, you probably will not have to monkey with it much once it is set to your locale.
Check it, of course, at each site you visit. But odds are it won't move much.

Looks like that little V is working, thats certain. Makes me want to keep mine....

I'm with Nancy on that pretty little ring. Unless it is a real recently dropped plated ring that is near new ... just kind of looks possible.
Looks like you got the hang of the Vaqureo.

Katz wanted me to stop in and see what he found. Glad I did. No matter what detector we use, it's ALL fun! :detecting: HH to all, Nancy

Look at those nickels! I like to see them, I think most people disc them out. Nice haul.

Practiced somemore on the GB.
Finally got the hang of it. I went to a better sports field today where
I could actually find clean ground. Its a new field. Anyway I checked the balance through out
the day raising it and lowering it. The hum remained the same, no change up or down.
