I took the day off from work to visit a co-worker that retired last year and decided to stop by an old school near where he lives that I have detected some over the past couple of years.
The building is still there, but is used as a community center now.
I hunted for about 2 hours and then the heat was too much, but I did manage to rescue this token from about 7" .
It gave a nice 180 signal and sounded like it had some depth to it and I was expecting a nice silver coin or at least a wheatie,
but this is a rather interesting find although I don't have a clue as to it's origins.. (any help is much appreciated ).
I tried using manual sensitivity at this location and was surprised that I could set it at around 1:00 and not get a constant null like some other areas I have tried.
The school dates back to the 1930's and judging by its depth, I figure it was lost around that era.
Other finds were the usual clad and some junk Items that I checked out that gave somewhat iffy signals, but since I was
only hunting the shaded areas, I decided to dig these instead of getting out in the hot sun.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
