This is an Officers button from 1798-1802. Made when we were poopin our pants we may get into a fight with France......button rarety is an RV50 in Alberts.
This is an Infantry regiments button for an officer..partial gold guilding is left.

Everything now is very deep or mixed in with iron...but there is a ton of stuff still down there.
I was using my Nautilus IIB with 10" coil...this button was down between 10" and 12". I know cause at 10" it was still down there but in the clean out of the hole it popped up.
