Finally got out, skunked, but still love the hunt

3 hours in the woods with my 4 year old and uncle. Let the uncle use a compadre... He enjoyed it.

Most interesting finds were just an Iron handgun like object and a horse shoe.

Found a new ( old, but new to me) foundation... Gave it a short hunt... Nothing but iron there too.

Still one of the best ways to spend a few hours... Great weather and exercise... I love it.

As long as we enjoy finding what made the detector beep, we're not truly "skunked" even by trash. I've been coin shooting more than once for little or nothing, but still ended with an enjoyable outing.
