Finally got out in a lake again!!

Hi, been a while since I posted. Got to detect for a couple of hours in a fresh water lake in upstate New York. I will post some pics later but I wanted to list my finds. I was using a Garrett AT3 machine. Ofcourse I set the descirminators way down, hoping for gold rings and or chains. No luck on that front. I did dig lots of small trash, and 62 coins in about 3 total hours of detecting, with a face value of around $4.50. I was pleasantly surprised with two buffalo nickels(one badly corroded), 1 1957 roosevelt dime, and last but not least a beautiful 1943 walking liberty half!! The half was atleast 10 inches down in the sand. I was standing on my tip toes using my long handle scoop with the water of the lake at my chin(I am 6'3" tall). As I had to dig 5 or 6 scoops to reteive the coin I think the depth was pretty considerable, I was really hoping for a big silver piece when I finally got the scoop under it and out of the hole. I was not disappointed and knew immediatley what it was in the scoop. It is ofcourse very tarnished but should clean up fairly easily. Anyway, I had to share my joy!! Kip...:)
I will take and post some pics later.

That was some deep coin. Congratulations on the walking liberty half that you dug .
