It was such a beautiful day and I had a new lens to test so I headed out to our local museum to shoot a few photos. Nothing great but it just felt good to dust off the camera and play with it again.
The first two shots are with the new Canon 400mm f/5.6L lens. Range was about 150 feet. I was mainly testing out sharpness and color. These are straight out of the camera and other than cropping no post processing has been done. Overall I am pretty pleased. If I had a monopod or tripod I think I could do even better. It's amazing how much camera shake there is when using a big lens like this. These are 100% crops, sorry for the large size.

The shot was taken with the new Canon 400mm f/5.6L lens at about 25 feet to test the DOF and bokeh. Again, although this isn't what I bought the lens for I was nevertheless pleasantly surprised.

These last two were taken with my Canon 17-40 f/4L lens. This is not my sharpest lens but I love the color it gives.
