Finally got my GT

My buddy who buys and sells on e-bay sold me a barely used GT for $500 even. I have had this two weeks now. So far so good. Best machine I have owned to date. Now we need some rain here in Detroit cause the ground is like cement.

that's been the going price on ebay lately..........give or take $50 bucks ......go low and slow .....and all the goodie's will come your way.

As already stated. Go nice and slow. There is no rule that says detecting is a race. Give the detector time to look deep for you.

lloyd i do not know if you have ever owned a GT but run the sensitivity between 3:00 and 2:00 you should get good clear signals and keep it in pinpont when you switch to all metal you will do good if you hear a strong forcfull fart it may be a good target trying to bust out of the Iron large metal objects of Iron will sound good and make a high tone but of coures will cover a larger earea and if you do not find the object within 8" its probly a large metal object dig the low tones in disq and you will find gold rings dont just dig high tones, because even a silver coin can sound lower if a small piece of Iron is next to it Good finds to you ,

Thanks for the tips. I have owned an older Sovereign XS but this GT is better. On the large iron I have even lifted the coil to a foot off the ground to see if the signal is still there. Also, I have found coins and nails in the same hole.
