Got out on a school close to my house today. It's not old but, I have found a few Wheaties there. Got about $3 in clad, and a little fake jewelery from the tot-lot, I decided to hunt the fence line where some trees once stood and FINALLY GOT MY 1ST GOLD RING! 6 grams,10K white gold with a star sapphire! The pics. don't show the star in the stone but it's there. 1st day out with the sunray headphones my wife bought me (thanks again for the advice Digger). I was using the 6" 18.75, sens 29,

HH thanks for looking

That is a good loooing ring you can even see the Center star from the pick ! are the stars straight prominemnt and reach end to end You probably have a Expemsive stone there. Awsome findQ What a great first ring find! Grant

The star lines do reach the edges of the stone and seems to shift with the light depending on what angle you look at it. I don't know anything about stones, maybe I'll get it looked at by a pro. Thanks, Mike.

Congrats!! That is an awesome ring! I really like it. I do have a question what did it ring in at? I really am just wondering, Beale.

Thanks Beale. It rang at 14/16. Repeatable in all directions at around 4" deep. I had been using ear-buds until I got some good advice from Digger to invest in quality headphones. I've listened to a lot of square pulltabs at this TID but this one just sounded so much better.

Awesome ring. I'd wear that one with pride.

Some of my best finds come from the fence line. I guess others just don't hunt with small coils so they can't get close enough to the fences.
