Finally Getting An X-Terra 70

Relic

New member
After two years of should-I-or-shouldn't-I and saving the egg money, I'm getting an X-Terra 70. I'm really fired up! My other detectors are all single tone, beep and dig so this will be quite an adventure. I had an ACE 250 when they first came out and that has been my only experience with TID.

Well, if you'll will excuse me, I'm off to read the FAQ. Watch the videos. Download the manual. Surf the forums. Dream of wealth and fame.

It's gonna be a long winter, now...

(I just had to tell somebody else; my wife is getting tired of hearing about it.)

Congratulations Relic.
You've got one up on me! I've had the 30 since the X-Terras have been out. It's my favourite light weight detector. Got an Ace as well. Great machine, but I prefer the audio on the X-Terra. I've used a borrowed 70 a couple of times now and since, have been promising myself that I'll get one, but keep buying other machines in stead.:nono: One of those will be used as a trade in for the 70 (an XLT). I'll set a goal this year to detect the required amount to buy one.:detecting:
Have fun with it. You'll never look back after having some visual information available to you.

Congratulations, you are now heading in the right direction to a lot of fun.

Not at all! She's pretty laid back and usually aids and abets my "projects". We hunt together and if I'm not careful, though, I could lose the 70 to her.

If you are a relic hunter all you have to do now is start saving for a 10.5 DD 7.5kHz coil to go with it. Your wife doesn't need to know this:rofl: Lol TomB

Well get ready for a great deal of hands-on experience in digging coins. You will like those sweet tones. Good Luck. You are doing right in reading everything you can get your hands or eyes on.
