. after hunting one beach for about an hour i was about to leave for another beach when this cute little 8 year old girl came over to me and asked if i could find her daddys ring....i walked over to the man and asked for details..he said he was throwing football with his girls who were in the water and next thing he realized his ring was gone...but he really couldnt tell me exexactly where he lost it but did give me a general idea so began sweeping in the water as far as the waves would let me go..no luck... the whole family and friends are all watching me while doing there own search and im no even getting any signals so i walk back to the man and ask him to explain again where he thinks he lost it..he kinda gives the same story saying i was standing right about here i think while throwing the football.. well by this time theyve kinda accepted the fact that its gone...with that i swept the coil right in front of his feet . gotta sweet signal, dumped it out and said here ya go...man the whole family was cheering..his wife practically hugged me..it was a very cool experience..as i was walking away his wife came over and give me a 20 for finding it... so i guess im off to hooters for supper..

Wow, Congrads Dave!! And some very good Karma for you!! Had a real good time meeting up, sharing some talk and hunt time Saturday. Maybe next year we can meet again...be safe joe

That find had to cause mixed emotions. You had to feel good in being able to find the gentleman's ring but also just a little down in not being able to put it in your treasure chest. You Did GOOD!

Right you are george..but to tell you the truth i got alot more satisfaction seeing there reaction after i dumped the scoop out than i would have gotten had i just found it random like ...after i dumped the scoop i pointed to it instead of picking it out myself, didnt want my fingers to have to gold withdrawl... besides they were very grateful and apprecative... it could have been just another gold ring but now its a cherished memory for all parties involved..

Yeah, mixed emotions for sure no doubt...

well said BH!......all in all, when a guy evaluates the deal, the satisfaction of a return to appreciative people and Hooters wings and beer are a pretty fair trade for one gold ring..about the best day ever on the Planet compared to most folks I reckon....Id surely make that trade myself to feel like a king for a moment and get some attention from from a winsom lass!
