Finally found a couple hours to swing the coil.....

Hit an old bean field yesterday, finding the Barber dime and the nasty old Shield Nickel. Nicekls always come out of the ground reddish, around here. So I tried the salt/vinegar rinse and wasn't impressed. Guess it was just too far gone. Anyway, the rest of the stuff came from a vacant lot here in town that I hunted today. Pennies were 1917, 1925, 1928, 1935, 1938 and 1950. And it was a pleasant surprise to pull out the 42 Walking Liberty.

Thanks for looking. HH Randy

Nice finds Digger, I got a couple of worn bent ones at a school yesterday, using the stock coil on the 70.
My old camera doesn't do good on close-ups, the quarter's date is 1908, can't read the last digit on the rosie and the other is a clad quarter that lost a battle with the mower, I guess.

While visiting just a couple days ago you mentioned you hadn't found a half for quite a while. Well let's start talking how long it's been for GOLD. Seems like there could be a mental thing going on here. You think real hard and maybe Wednesday when we get out we just might pull out a goldie. Think????
