Finally, Excal 800 produces a little gold for me...

GH and I went for a spin last evening and hit three different locations. First stop did not produce but two pennies for me and a little junk, the second spot was a little better, more clad and a child's junk ring. The third was even better, a few more coins and then out pops a mood ring, no marks, but silver in color, just after that I went a little further and low and behold my first gold ring with the Excall 800. At this point I was so exhausted I forgot to pay attention to the tone and just dug whatever made a nice ring tone, I had thought it might be another penny or dime as that was what I was finding most of, but to my surprise it was a 10K gold ring with a cross cutout with a diamond in the center, I did not know it had the diamond until we got back to the truck and looked closer with the loop, and it tested diamond with the CZ Checkpoint Diamond Tester that GH keeps in his bag. I am happy and glad to be back in the loop of things. Also received my new scoop today, will be giving it a work out tonight. Total clad count was $1.35. Also got a pair of sunglasses and a key with an alarm clicker. The plastic shovel was laying ontop of the wet sand, so I picked it up to have here when my grand babies come for a visit and we can go to the beach and play.
