and picked up the "pro pointer". Made the trip to the local (is 50+ miles round trip local?) hobby store and picked one up. Have been using the HF ones for a while with no complaints but felt it was time to upgrade. Air tests, as they are, look good. Only time will tell.

The pro pointer is worth every cent you spend on it and it speeds up target recovery many times. When I'm on land and have a shallow target, I use the pro pointer and then pop it quickly with a screwdriver or probe and off to the next target and no holes. GL & HH.

Yeah, I think it will be an upgrade for sure. Now if the snow would only melt and the ground would thaw........

Just ordered one of these myself. Can't wait to try it out

Still waiting for winter to end. I did use it a couple of weekends ago as a stud finder like the directions show. The wife was not impressed.............

My Garrett Pro Pointer arrived today. I have never used one before having always relied on the pin pointer built into my detector. I am looking forward to using it this weekend as it is supposed to be in the 50's.:twodetecting:

Mine came today! I ordered it from Cabela's. It worked great as a stud finder and hope to test it out in the field early next week.

They can be used to scan people for weapons as well.
