For years I have yearned to detect on a beach! You can't imagine the dreams of treasures-to-be-found I had while planning the trip.
This past week-end I helped my son move from Phoenix to the Los Angeles, CA area. I had all day Sunday to play on the beach.
Unfortunately, the White's MXT I have didn't play well in the wet sand... every swing of the coil was a false signal.
Working the dry sand was fun, though and easy to dig with the plastic scoop I had.
From about 7:30 AM Sunday until 12:30 I scanned for lost treasures.
My grand total: 3 pennies, 1 nickel, 2 quarters, 3/4ths of a small iron cross with "choppers" on it and uncounted bottle tops and bobbie pins.
.....but it was fun.
