FINALLY A TESORO OWNER

Ordered a Tesoro today. I suspect there will be more in the future but a guy has to start somewhere. Now if Arthur Itis and I can work this thing out, this could be fun.

One of the reasons I purchased a Tesoro was because of tendinitis in the elbow. I bought a 2.3 lb Vaq. and have been more than satisfied with its performance and the elbow doesn't bother me anymore.

Ordered the Silver Umax. Price came in delivered at $244.

Just wanted to test the waters to see if I could do this having arthritis. Very concerned about the up and down of the sport. I am having some difficulty getting up from a kneeling position these days... but will give it a go.

I have used detectors in years past and found some very strange things. Once I dug up human remains on an island near Charlotte Harbor here in Florida. Never did find what ever set the detector off.

I also have found a piece of hand forged 16th century Spanish trace gear used to hook up War Wagons with oxen and the like. Found that underwater in a sink hole. This was verifed by the University of Florida.

Never was much into coins or jewelry but I guess I am open to finding anything these days. I am not the type to do parks or tot lots....so I'll be off the beaten path.

If I can work this out I am mulling over adding the Compadre and the Outlaw. Will have to wait and see.

dangit a nother tesoro swinger compaticton geting tuff

I think that you'll come to appreciate the all metal mode on the Silver umax. It is really different, hooks you up with a bit more depth, and you can quickly go back to discrimination mode if you want to check a shallow target out,

Exactly. That's one of the reasons I went to the Silver.... should be interesting. Seems like a good bang for the buck.

YEP ,, You are hooked. You will really enjoy the silver. Than you will get a COMPADRE. When you get the Compadre, you might as well take the battery out of the Silver. That Compadre will be your main detector.. Any way... Have a blast... KEN

You're gonna like swinging a Tesoro. :beers:

Great deal for it shipped too, congrats! I use my silver in "All metal" and set the discrimination to just above "Iron" then you can get the extra depth and once you get a hit, toggle over to Discrimination mode to check the target quickly.

intresded in what you think of it .
