i found this at a park today. my batteries were going low so i was makin my way back to the truck and the mxt picked up a vdi of 88. i thought it was going to be a buried junction box for electric because the high 80 #s usually end up being just that ,but i was pleased to see this silver wedding band.

[size=large]i know you said high reading but it can still be gold w/ silver. take to someone who buys gold and offer to sell it to them. they'll tell you if it's gold or not. if you don't like their offer then take back home along with the knowledge. congrats anyway. first of many i hope.

Very nice find . . .!

I wouldn't sell it. Heck, it's your first ring. It's more than likely silver since the high VDI number. Congrats and HH, Nancy

I agree with Nancy! I wouldn't sell it either. It is way cool!

[size=large]i agree with not selling but the chemicals cost too much to self test. so just let the gold buyers do it for ya. all you want to know is what metal it is.

For whatever reason, it seems I began to find rings more often once I recovered my first. Hopefully that'll happen to you as well.

Rings are always great finds! There's always a story behind them! Even if "only" silver, Don't sell it! Rainy days ahead!! Good find! (You also said you were "makin your way back to the truck" - I've made many finds over the years by keeping the coil to the ground on the way back to the truck!!
