Hit the Oceanfront today @ 10am and met Low Tide Tim for the long stroll to the pier & back. LTT hit a nice 10k white gold wedding ring and that was it for him. On the way to the pier I hit this cell phone. Saw it lying on the damp sand, not wet & still working. Called some numbers in it and the owner is coming by tonight to get it back.
I was on the last 20 yards of beach before turning to the dry sand for the walk back to the parking lot when I got a faint target in the splash. This sucker was down to China. I took out 3 scoops before it saw sunlight. I called Balfour and the owner will be called as it is engraved & registered. It is a honker and I bet cost every bit of $800+. I'll bet he will be one happy camper to hear it is retrieved and undamaged.
