Filling Backorders

I was told May! Crazy, isn't it. I am not putting a preorder on a card and paying for something I won't get for 2 months.

I emailed a place a few days ago & they said it would be probably another 2 months til they finish their preorders

At the rate my dealer is getting them in that sounds about right.

Check with one of our sponsors .......

There's no such option like that. Paypal is just a money go-between. Once you click "send payment" its completely on the seller when they accept that money.

Its called PayPal credit, but you have to apply for it. This option will give you 6 month with no interest and if not paid for within the 6 month they charge you interest.
There was another option that was called pay after you receive it, but it was only for 2 weeks so if you hadn't received it in 2 weeks they still took out the money out of your account. I got a Email last nite and said they are stopping this after April 18 and wanting you to use the credit option.
My dealer charged me 10% down to put my name on the list, then when he got it in and let me know and I paid the remainder of it and it was shipped to me. If I wanted to back out I understand I could and get my 10% back. This was a very fair way of doing it and I used my PayPal credit and have 6 month to pay for it.

PayPal credit is great like he said 6 month no interest and it's like a credit card if your approved they just put it on your account to use how you want and I'm approved with a credit score of 680

Yes, but thats not what was described. It has nothing to do with "not paying until you receive it" The paypal credit is exactly like a credit card. You incur the debt as soon as you place the order. Just because they give you a grace period before you pay them is irrelevant. Also, if you don't have it paid off before that timeline, you owe the full amount plus compounded interest for the entire time you've been waiting to pay off the debt.

I'd call around. We have some very nice sponsors that I'm sure would love to have your business. I've purchased several detectors and plenty of accessories from forum sponsors. Remember, dealers can only get detectors as fast as Minelab Distributing gets detectors to them. I'd ask if there is a queue of people waiting for available stock as well as what your place will be in that queue. I would also ask about volume of detectors they are receiving with each shipment and how many they've delivered so far. Some dealers appear to be getting much greater volumes than others for whatever reason.

Good luck -
