Decided to take the SE out to an old house site on a near by farm. I had hunted up close to the road before but noticed the brick and iron seemed to go back away from the road quite a ways. Took a run through the iron and came up with some interesting things. The broken buckle on the left side has a patent date of 1879 on the back. The large cent only gives up about three numbers a 1, 8 and a 5. The signal for it was strange. I had a good loud audio and high right placement in the cross hairs but had numbers like 06 24. I dug down at least 8 or 9 inches and pulled a bent spoon out of the hole. I was scratching my head about the spoon giving that kind of signal. I filled in the hole and swung the detector over it and the large cent about blew off my headphones. It was lying on the ground just outside the edge of the hole. I never get tired of finding large cents. Still have a ton of things to learn, but happy I am coming away with some keepers when I take the Minelab out.
