So what type of MDing accessories does everybody take into the field with them?

I usually take my md, propointer, belt, hat, gloves, digging tool, and coin pouch.

Yep.

Pro Pointer, screw driver for popping coins and a finds pouch on a belt along with an old cheapy survival knife that i use on deep stuff for cutting a plug and also nice to have just in case.

Better take a rag to put removed dirt on for fancy lawns. It makes it a snap to refill the hole for a clean job. Also spare batteries, magnet,If you can manage..take a wet rag in a zip lock bag..multiple uses for it.Also a small jewelers loop or small magnifying glass.Never Know!Spare coil or coils if possible.First aid kit.Like I said...Ya never know.Basic tools ...assorted screwdrivers, pliers. Also some knobs on detectors have set screws that sometimes work loose. Some are allan screws and some are the small phillips type.Maybe take something to protect the detector box IF it's not water resist just in case.Another one of those Ya never know things. Also you might take a gallon of clean water to keep in car or truck. You might want to wash off digging tools or coins you found.insect repellent depending on what time of year or location.Maybe knee pads for wet ground or hard ground or just plain ole comfort.Something to keep the trash in that you dig up so you won't put it back in the hole for the rest of us to find.HA!
Maybe camera. You never know what you will see out in the field.Oh more thing you Might want to take along is a "Metal Detector".I find that really helps! Ha! You don't have to actually carry all of the above On you. They were just a few things to think about.Of course a snack and something to drink always helps if you are way out in the sticks and let someone know where you are in case of an emergency. If you are on any medication be sure to take it with you if you need to! I'm sure others can add to the list.

Less is best for me. cloth tool pouch with a leather hammer holder that i put a digger in w/a earth magnet. I can attach a butcher knife (for cutting flap QUICKLY, cleanly, deep) and a garden trowel. I have an inline probe. Maybe a pair of gloves.

Coin relic hunting in town

5 gallon bucket for trash wrapped with a cooks black apron. Has three big pockets.
Pockets hold

Extra batteries
Flat head screwdriver
Pinpointer
Survival knife for digging tool( hope I win minelabs so I don t scare people)lol
Old cottage cheese container (in bottom of bucket looks like garbage but has all my finds in it)
X-terra 705 manual wrapped in plastic with notes and maps
Couple zip lock baggies for screen
Cell phone
Keys
Shades

This all fits in the pouches except the knife which I keep in the bucket just because I don't want it to rip the pouches. Plus if THE MAN wants to hassle me I can say I found it and didn't want some teens pokin their eye out.

I was going to get a bucket caddy but I had the apron laying around.

Prospecting mode is a whole different pack and gear. Let's just say for growing up in the mountains the number 1 thing at the top of the list is toilet paper. I can make, cook, cut off, start, defuse, burn, band aid, eat, build justabout anything but tp makes life a whole lot easier.

705 ftw

"BUT" A detector, a digger, and if you can afford one, a nice pin pointer helps.. But truth is, a detector, and digger of some type will do the trick..

Like any Hobby, you can go overboard.......................

Best to keep it simple, and add items as you need them..
