Field of wheats

Located a new location this week and hunted it for about 3 hrs, just jumping around to see what was there. It is about about a 10-15 acre site that use to be a WWII housing that has been dozed away. Nothing but sidewalks, parking lots and trees. I found a total of 15 total wheat's. There were located just about anywhere I tried. Funny thing is I did not find one clad coin or silver. I know they must be there. I really don't think it has been hunted before because there are just to many wheat's. Sooner or later some silver must appear, I would think. I did find a few early memorials that had Cond #s of 45 which I thought was silver. I know of a similar site in a town about a hour away that has produced several hundred silver, so I think this could be a great spot. Just going to keep at it until they show up. Don't get me wrong I love wheats but this place is killing my wheat to silver ratio.
I have been using the Etrac for about 3 months with a few good finds. I still can not tell be sound the difference between clad and silver. They both have a nice warble to me! I've adjusted the variability setting from 1 to 15 to 30 and I still cant tell the difference in my test garden. I ques my question is can anyone really tell the difference most of the time. I have guessed wrong more than right. Whats your thoughts. Thanks

nice finds, i am new to the etrac but i can tell pennies from silver it should be a higher tone almost a high pitch whistle like sound for silver are you in multi tone? that might cause the sounds to be more alike.

No problem telling pennys from silver. Having a hard time telling silver from clad dimes and quarters. I did have a rare early memorial penny sound like silver with a Cond # of 45. I had never had a penny with a Cond # that high. Yes I am using multi ton with conductive #s to answer your question.
