Field of dreams

Pat in On

Last weekend in the early hours of the morning I packed up my V3 and headed to my favourite coffee shop for a good cup of brew. Sitting there I contemplated what site I would venture , the sun was rising and the low lying fog was still hugging the ground and in the background I could here my favourite orchestra , the crickets, they were playing loud and in harmony as they do at this time of year.

Great post Pat. That field of dreams is what it is all about.

The anticipation, getting out, and the memories of the find! Yup Pat...more than a dime! Thanks, You put a smile on my face!

Your story reminds me of a morning in the late fall of 06. Three mornings a week I would drop my Dad off for his kidney dialysis treatment at 6 AM. Then I would go to a park somewhere and hunt until it was time to pick him up or run errands. Anyway this particular morning the sun was just barely brightening up the eastern sky when I got a signal in a small clearing just off the path. I dug down and ran a hand full of soil over the coil to be sure I had the target, then stood and faced the dim light of the morning. The coin was a 64 Rosie, but the feeling and the sight of the pale white disc in the black dirt, and surrounding darkness is one I will always remember.

Thanks for sharing, Dave
