~Field of Dreams~Penny Grand Slam~

Yesterday after work my wife and I hit a new field that had a house in it, was on 1886 map, the owner was 66 yrs old and said they never knew a house existed there, she lives right across the street.

Mrs G4E started off with the first coin 1887 indian....shortly thereafter I got my first a 1892 indian. Started hitting buttons, cool relics all over their was signals all directions for hundreds of yards, no modern trash at all. Next I got the 1858 Flying eagle, second one this year, and 4th one for me in 4 yrs. I was very happy because the previous 3 were all 1857's so I needed the 1858 for my dug set. Mrs G4E snagged another indian 1888 this time, then I got a 1849 LC, and I was happy I now had a one cent trifecta. I was thinking if I could only get a stinking wheat, I would hit a grand slam!

Well not long after I finally got a 12-40 on the etrac and I actually HOPED for a wheat....lol. Well it was! A 1913 wheat, to complete a ONE CENT GRAND SLAM! I was on cloud nine as I have NEVER gotten a grand slam ever in detecting.

Got a sweet buckle, anyone know the age? I dug 2 whole crotal bells, and my wife got one as well. I think I got the tip of a silver spoon, it comes up at 12-44 on the etrac, most spoons even whole are lower that I have dug.

She got the last coin of the evening with a nice 1910 wheat, her first NON 1800's coin. Until that she has dug nothing this year that was not 1800's.....lol, poor girl.

We definately will be going back, we hunted 4 hours till it was so dark we couldn't see anything.
