Field of Dreams gives up another colonial SCREAMER...except I don't know what it is...

I actually am thinking about getting permission to hunt the front half of this field for the group hunt. See this field sits behind a very old Tavern....about 25 acres or so. Todd and I have beat the heck out of 20 acres of it the past 4 years and still we find stuff like this.
Technically it private property and we never asked to detect it....which sound sbad except it as a large field that the landowners tolerate people playing in the back 20..people walk their dogs...and such....but no one ever goes on the front 4 acres as it is behind the tavern which is a house now. the way the field is set up the back 20 can't be seen from the house and so they don't bother people as long as you are respectful.
but that front 5 has me drooling.....which means their won't be squat probably.
After 4 years of diggin thatf ield I have figured out that there are two main areas that hold tons of goodies and they appear to be dump areas as they type of trash is what you expect when they dump trash in a field behind a tavern or old House...pieces of brick...mucho iron and so on. Out of the 20 acres there is less than 1 acre total that has a density of targets and I find most of my finds in what todd and I call the front spot. todd hits the middle spot mainly and has done very goo there.

They know we are out there.....as long as you stay off the front 5 acres it is fine.
Heck they allow ATVers to rampage all over it....we are all locals so there is a sorta local understanding....now if you are from Mass...well...better duck
 
We talked to the owners friends who hay the field....out back is cool. Up front requires permission. So if I did hunt the front I would get permission. Plus there is a field across the street I want to find the owner to ask permission.
Don't worry I am not going to get anyone in trouble. When you detect alone it is one thing....with a bunch of guys I have to find an area large enough for us and one that i have written permission for. Actually there is another 40 acre field a few miles away that is part of a 1700's garrison that I am aiming for. they are going to develope it this year and that is my main foucs right now.
This field Todd and I hunt has been pounded to death and there is not alot left to find. I know exactly where to hunt and the areas are just a few hundred square feet and I am using a Nautlius with a 10" coil tweaked to the max to find this stuff and most are barely audible....just whispers.'
