Field Hunt..Large Cent..Indians..Buffalo..CW Button

Saturday I hit a field by myself for two hours, Jim had to work till 3pm....It was a messy cornfield, stalks 2 ft high....I just love hunting in corn stalks...lol

I managed a few keepers there, 1919 buffalo, 1890 indian and a real nice general service CW button. Jim got off at 3, and we hit another field. The only keeper I remember was the toasted 1847 large cent. Jim had no luck at all.

Sunday we hit a field I hit this spring, it was corn then and a beanfield now, so was hoping I missed some stuff. Got a 1916 wheat, beautiful 1899 injun, hard to believe it was from a field site. A real nice IOOF two piece button. We hit another field and luck just was not with us, picked up my 20th crotal bell of the season, but no more coins, or buttons.....did find a arrowhead, but the point was broke off. The silver colored thing (marked echo) is off of a whistle. And not sure what the pie slice piece is, one side is dated 1896, any guesses??

Nice finds Terry. I wish my field would produce that in 2 hours. I'm now on about 25 hours of a virgin field and lets see (1 seated 1/4, 1 seated dime, 2 -V's, 1 wheat, 1 Rosie, and 'bout 6 IH's, plus the Rehan Token.), Oh, about 200 shotgun shells and .22 casings. 1 smashed thimble like yours though and 1 gold pin.

I don't know why we don't see crotal bells in my area.

Thanks for the pictures buddy!
