Field finds on a COLD, windy sunday

I was on call at work today so had to stay close. Found a field site that was 2 miles away not overly old but still a fun place to go on a 27 degree windy day lol. Got 5 wheats 1909, 1911, 1916, 1919, and 1920. Got a 1947 Ohio chauffeur badge, a marble and a cool looking piece that looks like a monster head to me!

Cool....I found one of those "monster heads" last summer but mine had more detail and no hole. Mine was real similar to yours. Found it at an old homesite (early 1900's) that is now just a vacant lot. Gave it to a friend and between the both of us we have no idea what it is or what it was for? Mine was very heavy. The closest thing we could come up with was some sort of door knocker but ruled that out eventually.... Still have no clue. Definately ornamental of some sort. Maybe someone will chime in.....

Snowed here today...I stayed in

Great that you got out! I wimped out as it got down to 18 deg. last nite & froze the ground.
Nice finds for you! I really like the chauffers license........always wanted to find one, but never have.

could it be part of a water fountain spout ? great finds

Good finds Terry. I'll bet that chauffeur's badge was a surprise. Thanks for the pictures. 9

Great hunt - really like the 1947 badge !
