Field Bag

I'm looking for a field bag, for relic hunting that is about half the size of a day pack, straps to the waist, optional clip on shoulder strap, couple of small zippered front pockets, main compartment (with fold over cover) divided in half, one side with open pocket for pinpointer and space for a water bottle and extra batteries. Other side of main compartment for junk, etc. Loops or slots on outside to stick a web belt through. Ideas?!

For not far from the vehicle relic - I use a fishing vest, 1 or 2 leather pouches and a fanny pack.
For a little further hikes from the vehicle, I have a few day packs to a couple back packs.
In the last few years, I have ordered my packs from Cabela's, and got a couple from a local sporting store.
One of my packs from Cabela's has plenty of inside and outside compartments for plenty of accessories, and an outer section I use to strap an extra detector. Have to have room for rain gear, warm clothing, food and whatever to apply to the hunt and weather.
Some of my packs are from my hunting days and serve double duty for relic hunts and gold prospecting.
Shop around as there is such a variety available - see what may fit your needs.

Consider what you will carry (how many metallic items) and their proximity to your search coil when hunting. Hanging below the belt might mean an operator induced falsing. Put it on your back to get it away from your coil. If you ever use a 15 inch coil you will soon find out its affect. HH
