Just thought you all might be interested in this. I have a Spectrum XLT as a backup machine and today when I ran inTo a guy out using one in my area i asked him about his machine. He says he bought his for $60.00 bucks in a pawn shop..A PAWN SHOP FOR $60 BUCKS!!!!!! The pawn shop salesman said it didnt work so he bought it...BENT the battary tangs out toward the batttary pack and WHAOLA!!! it works perfectly. When I saw him he had two mercs in his hand. That has to be one of the best buys I have ever seen. Now you know...if your haveing trouble with getting power up check your connections at the tange of the battary.
good luck to you.
