few more questions for you experts...

OK starting my 3rd month with the E-trac, I started using the stock coin program with goes4ever's settings. lately I have been forced to TTF with relic screen in some certain areas do to iron.
up until today I usually run auto +3 for sens. I noticed it usually runs about 14 or so. today I went in manual and ran 26-28 where I could.
so when running manual sens. that high, I noticed the threshhold was almost never there, but I managed a couple deep wheats that I missed before. am I supposed to run the manual down to where I hear the threshold, or can I bump the threshold up to match the sens.?
also if running in the stock coin program with sens cranked up to say 26-28 will a coin sound through a null?
when running the sens. that high will the target recovery be slower? sorry about all the dumb questions but I really want to start pushing the limits on what's in the ground. a few fellow forum members with E-tracs MD the same areas that I do and they run manual sens and seem to find deeper targets. when running that high in TTF I get some serious falsing and have to turn it almost always down to near the auto setting. how are they manageing to run that high in the same area and I can't?

thanks for the help!

im not an expert. ive used mine for exactly one year now. but heres my thoughts...

am I supposed to run the manual down to where I hear the threshold, or can I bump the threshold up to match the sens.? i dont think you can adjust the threshold in that sense...its nulling because it senses disc'ed iron.

will a coin sound through a null? yes

when running the sens. that high will the target recovery be slower? by sound, no. target ID, yes if the area is cluttered it can. i just rely on tones.

auto sens. of 14 compared to manual 26-28 is a HUGE jump....whatever it says in auto +3, try manual a few notches above that.

i get frustrated if i go above manual 24 in junky areas. in cleaner areas i can go higher.
