I haven't been out in weeks, ground is bone dry.....Hunted a buddies 1930s house got 4 wheats a 1917 merc which I scratched bad it was entangled in roots and the cool broach.

That is a cool lookin Broach.. WTG

We all scratch a coin from time to time. Last weekend I was digging out a IH from under a root and I stabbed it 3 times. Good think it was just a common date.

Nice finds, I like the broach. I am in the same boat. Ground here is like concrete. I have left the good spots and moved to some low areas that still have some moisture. Actually being forced to hunt in a spot that you normally wouldn't sometimes yield some finds. Found a pair of Stubbs Insurance Co. tokens in 1 hole, a Denver Sunday-News-Times token and a nice bronze padlock. All were 9 to 10 inches deep.
