Wet sand low tide Treasure Coast. I use the XP Deus my wife now uses my AT Pro. 2016 she will get a XP Deus.

Not having ever used one (XP) I do hunt the At Pro, have had a lot of luck with it. But I do have some problems on wet salt sand, sea water. So could you tell us about the XP , anything that would help, with your first hand experience. I have noticed that there is a water proof kit available for the XP (good for 16')
That's a good insurance policy in itself.

Today it started to rain so I cut my safety tie from control box.
I then placed unit in zip lock bag placed in button shirt.
I put on 3.2 miles in wet sand searching. Waves slowed down over night. Lots of light crap came out of deeper trough area.
Waiting for my 720i Stealth so I can get deeper quick.
I don't use the water bag or antenna. I use the backphones light and fine with glasses.
Rinse my charger contacts gold plated and coil covers. Waist deep I would get a kit but there is Leases and rules Fl. High to low tide mark no dunes nothing over 50 years old etc.
I listen to hear items tone only forget VDI numbers.
Each set up or ground conditions willl change VDI I have experienced.
Tide rolls in over wet sand 2-8 inch water. I can still her tone with coil over or under water.
Then I wait to scoop out the item. The coil I don't use the pinpointer button. Center its there penny's seem to be off center by 2 inch's.
My wife and I have been working this same area for 3 Day's. This has helped for future hunting the area. Understanding the tide surf direction of wind sand filling etc.
If the item is there XP Deus will find it if I'm close to it.
If you can't handle little chirps falsing if you hit bottom oh well.
I'm to old to swing a heavy unit I want more square footage to cover in my walk's.

Just dig it and enjoy the scenery.
