I hunt behind his house while he is at home or work then post the finds have to get them before he does.:detecting::thumbup:

i do floor covering and when i have extra floor patch left over,i shape it into a rock and put some coins in it. then i bury it and send fred gps coordinates close to where it is. this keeps his mind on the rocks while i keep looking for the good stuff. i once buried 4 film containers with coins in them. he never found the one with the susan b anthony dollar in it. i wonder if its still there.

HI, OHIO FRED

Have you searched, or are you near any civil war battle sites? I have NO IDEA how many there are in your state. There are very FEW in Florida,& all are HISTORIC sites mostly in the northern part. ALL prohibit any detecting of any sort. & also removal of any objects.Am I correct in thinking it is OK to search OUTSIDE these areas?

I think it would be VERY INTERESTING, with civil war artefact's probably bringing top $$$$ on the collectors market.

Not to much civil war stuff here that is those southern boys and girls. They get to find all the good stuff, alls i get is corroded clad and a bent knee and a lot of aluminum that has my swear vocabulary as good as a college professor of English could do sometimes i think i invented new words as they proceed from my lips to air around me in to the void of space.Watch were you dig try to do quite research first, on some of those sites it may not be posted but you will know when the police pull up.The civil war relics do bring in some money and some satisfying hunting.Sometimes i type in metal detecting on u tube and watch in amazement as some one digs some ancient relic form the ground and it puts my clad coin finds to shame i only hope i have time to spend my clad at the ice cream store or pizza shop before the corrode into nothingness vanish in my hand like a ghost in the dark.It snow today a little so it cold here while i wrap myself in a blanket and start to look like a Indian from the westerns on tv,You sit in warm weather near the ocean and Disney world and beautiful scenery with the warm sun beating down on you.You have the kind of weather i dream of on a cold night in winter. If i had that weather here i would be metal detecting all the time even if i had no batteries in my detector.Well it is 1:00 clock am time for me to make it to sleep.Hope to see you post some of your finds.
